President Bush invited our National Champions to
The White House, an honor only bestowed on the #1
team in the country. I didn't see USC there.  Did you?

Well, evidently there are some "sour
grapes" out in California.  Not the
good varietals used for making
merlots or chardonnays.  We're
talking about empty words coming
from some left coast school in
Southern California.  It seems that the
USC Trojans beat up on some other
left coast team in the Rose Bowl and
thought that entitled them to be #1.
I'm confident that the Baton Rouge
High and Istrouma High teams back
in our school days could have given
USC a better game.  But, to check
out what was going on, we sent our
website correspondents packing to go
visit USC.  More on the next page.

Victory:  LSU was awarded the National Championship trophy.
The Bowl Championship Series was established before the 1998 season to determine the national champion for college football
while maintaining and enhancing the bowl system that's nearly 100 years old.  Our LSU Tigers won the BCS trophy.  End of story?
